The Historic Crail Ranch opens its doors on weekends during July and August for free educational tours and a variety of community activities. The following events are tentatively set for summer 2010.
Community Garden, beginning early June - We have 6 planting beds available for family gardeners. Family gardeners will have access to water and basic gardening equipment, plus expert guidance from Bob and Pat Donovan. [NOTE: All planting beds have been assigned for 2010. Friday, July 2, Kids Fly Fishing Day*, 10am - Noon - Kids learn the basics of fly fishing from local experts.

Tuesday, July 6, History of Crail Ranch*, 1pm-3pm - A two-hour class on the history of Crail Ranch for current and prospective Ranch Hosts and others interested in Big Sky history.
Thursday, July 8 - Kids Harmonica Clinic*, two sessions: 1pm-2:30pm and 3pm-4:30pm - Conducted by Ric Steinke and Linda Hausler of the Open Range band..
Saturday, July 17 - Kids Old-Fashioned Games Day, 1pm-4pm - Sack races, tug-of-war, and other old-time fun activities. Bring a picnic lunch!
Friday, July 23 - Kids Photography Workshop*, two sessions: Kids ages 7-10, 10am-Noon;
Kids ages 11-15, 1pm to 3pm - Kids bring their own cameras and learn the basics of digital photography. Conducted by Tina Buckingham.
Saturday, July 31 - Country Fair & Annual Bake Sale - Pies, cakes, cookies and other treats on sale at the Ranch
Saturday, July 31 & Sunday, August 1 - Colors of Kyrgyzstan - Trunk show and sale of unique items for living in the high country
Saturdays and Sundays in July and August, 12 noon - 3 pm - History Exhibits at the Ranch - Special exhibits of objects, documents and photographs from the Crail Ranch collection highlighting the history of Crail Ranch, Big Sky and the Gallatin Canyon. scheduled:

August 17 - Community Appreciation Concert, 6:30 pm - Featuring Home, Home on the Ranch, songs and stories of ranch life in the homestead period by humorist Bill Rossiter, appearing through the courtesy of the Humanities Montana speakers bureau.
